A 1969
150cc Super
A lady
brought this Vespa to my workshop for a complete restoration. The lady was
emotional attached to the Vespa because it belonged to her late step
father. For this reason she wanted it completely restored to its former
glory without worrying too much about the costs involved. The
gentleman owned this scooter since it was imported from Italy via Japan or
New Zealand where the indicators seen in the pictures, were compulsory even
in 1969 and they were mounted at sides of the handlebars.
The Vespa
was used regularly for many years and subsequently stored in a shed, were it
remained until it was transported to my workshop.
And here is the end
result....another Beautiful Vespa saved from destruction
And while the panel
beater slogs away....(I wish)... the engine is back from the Hydroblaster
and reassembled
And here she is...ready for
sandblasting
A new wiring harness is built
from scratch following the original Piaggio colour codes and diagram.
The body is reassembled
and a new electrical system, with a 12V AC regulator, is fitted
